וַיִּ֨חַר לְשָׁא֜וּל מְאֹ֗ד וַיֵּ֤רַע בְּעֵינָיו֙ הַדָּבָ֣ר הַזֶּ֔ה וַיֹּ֗אמֶר נָתְנ֤וּ לְדָוִד֙ רְבָב֔וֹת וְלִ֥י נָתְנ֖וּ הָאֲלָפִ֑ים וְע֥וֹד ל֖וֹ אַ֥ךְ הַמְּלוּכָֽה׃
Und Saul war sehr zornig, und dieses Sprichwort missfiel ihm; und er sagte:'Sie haben David Zehntausende zugeschrieben, und mir haben sie nur Tausende zugeschrieben; und alles, was ihm fehlt, ist das Königreich!'
